The new trailer also doesn’t feature any gameplay footage, so it might be a while yet before the game even comes out. However, all that said, there is no release date or release window yet for The Wayward Realms. In addition, there will also be a virtual Game Master that keeps things interesting for players, making other characters and their factions react and plot their next move based on the players’ actions, resulting in no two players having the exact same game experience. The game boasts of big cities with hundreds or thousands of NPCs, deep, dark, dangerous forests, gigantic mountain ranges, sprawling swamps and marshlands, vast oceans, and more, brought to life through dynamic, procedural generation. The Wayward Realms is set on a group of over one hundred, realistically scaled, islands, known collectively as the Archipelago, where scores of factions vie for influence and power. The developer is helmed by Ted Peterson and Julian LeFay, who were former lead developers of the team behind the original The Elder Scrolls, Arena and Daggerfall.
